It starred Karen Ziemba as Rita Racine, Daniel McDonald as Bill Kelly, Gregory Harrison as Mick Hamilton, Debra Monk as Shelby Stevens, and Kristin Chenoweth as Precious, making her Broadway debut. It received eleven Tony Award nominations but did not win any awards.
