She backs Michele for 'Funny Girl'

Kristin Chenoweth has said that Glee star Lea Michele would be perfect to play the lead role in a remake of the classic musical Funny Girl.

Funny Girl, the 1968 film adaptation starred Barbra Streisand in the now iconic role of Fannie Brice and Kristin Chenoweth claims that Michele would have no trouble taking on the mantle.

"I think that girl can do anything wants to do," Kristin Chenoweth told The Hollywood Reporter, when asked if she thought that Michele would be suitable for the role.

"Not only is Lea a delightful person, but she's a good singer and that's what's required," Kristin Chenoweth explained.

BTW, Kristin Chenoweth are being honored by GLAAD. GLAAD will present the 39-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer with the award at its annual Media Awards in New York, on 19 March. Kristin Chenoweth is also being honored by the organization for her work to promote better understanding. Kristin Chenoweth will receive the Vanguard Award at an event in Los Angeles on 10 April. The award is given to media professionals who have increased the visibility and understanding of the Lgbt community.
